What form of trailering support is best recommended by this site. The single post m-y-wedge, motor transom stick or others? Brand new motor and routinely travel 3 hr highway miles one way to go fishing.

Additional insight: The installation mechanic recommended that I would only need one wedge, on the starboard side tilt stem. Does this sound right? Would not having a wedge on the port side tilt stem cause undo stress on the starboard stem? Is 2 wedges overkill or necessary?

I use a 2”X2” block of wood sandwiched between the engine and the transom mounting bracket keeping the engine as close to vertical as possible while giving me clearance between the skeg and the road.

Any chance of getting a picture of this setup on your motor to see exactly where you are place the wood block. Thanks in advance.

Don’t have immediate access to the boat. Where I set my 2”X2” will be different than where you need to place yours depending on trailer height, transom height and lower unit length.
