Transmission options for Crusader 454XLI marine engines

Having a hard time finding any decent options for transmission that has gone bad on my Crusader 454XLI engine. Got one rebuilt and it failed also. Are there any good options out there? This is getting expensive...
 
What is on it now? There are good rebuilders out there and there are people who just repaint and call it rebuilt.
East Coast Marine Transmission in NJ just rebuilt a velvet drive for me and I would recommend him

Where are you located, and what transmissions do you have now? Do you also have a v-drive, or just a transmission?

Borg Warner 72Cs or ZF transmissions are great.
