Twin 115 hp Yamaha Dual Digital tachometer blinking, not working, lost data

Hello guys.
Failry new and in good condition dual tachometer for Yamahas 115 hp is not working.
The main dual display is still there but blinking.
Trip hours, total hours, Econ, Flow, rpm, went blank.
Used gallons and distance still there but does not move or update.
The motors are still working perfectly, but without any tach reading.
I connected a brand new tachometer, and the same problem occurred, meaning the problem is not on the tachometer.
NOTE:
We were in a thunderstorm, and one lightning hit fairly close to the boat while it was docked.
Before the lightning the tach was working, after the lighting it was not.
Does anyone have any idea of what is happening?
Thanks. Allois
PS. Can you attached pics here? I tried but could not find out how.

Would be nice to know the year and complete model identities. All Yams are not the same.

For instance, 115 Yams are two strokes. F115 Yams are four strokes. I suspect you have the latter.

Yamaha does not consider that a tachometer. They call it a multi-function display.

It receives digital data from the Yamaha Command Link network.

If you have replaced the display with a new one, and the problem remains, and the wiring has been inspected and found to be in good working order, then it is possible that the lightning strike damaged the ECU's.

Thanks Boscoe!!
Yes, it is a CL5 display.
The wiring has not yet been inspected.
Its a new, 2024, 4 stokes 115 hp Yamaha,

Thank you from Pohnpei, Micronesia.

Would be rare for both ECU's to be damaged at the same time in the same manner but not outside the realm of possibility.

Hopefully it is just a wiring problem.

Hello Boscoe.
I swapped display, it didn't work.
I swapped wires, it didn't work.
I swapped the hubs, where the wires connects on both sides, it didn't work.
All fuses are good.
Both twin 115 hp 4 stroke Yamahas are working perfectly.
I put in over 200 miles since the display broke.
Any other tips?
Thanks. Allois

Did you test the end resistors in the hub(s). Should be 120 ohms. Total resistance on the wiring is 60 ohms.
