value of 1990 90hp merc 2-stroke?

Hi all,
i am about to make an offer on a boat that has a 90hp Mercury 2-stroke outboard that the owner estimates about year 1990 but is not certain (pic attached). i have never owned a Mercury outboard and really am not seeking one, it is the boat i am after. He is willing to entertain an offer with or without the outboard. To help determine my offer, does anyone know the approximate value of a motor such as this? It looks in very good condition and runs well has power trim, it is oil-injected with the oiler disabled running pre-mix. My initial instinct is to buy the boat without the motor and put a Yamaha on it, or at least an Evinrude/Johnson just because of what i have always been familiar with, but perhaps i might consider learning to like Merc, it is the right size for the boat and of course already installed. Is this a good motor? (just a very ballpark estimate will do)

Look it up on NADA...my guess is a few hundred dollars. If it is still running after 22 yrs it must be a solid motor. Check the compression...all cylinders should be nearly equal and above 100 PSI.
