Volvo Penta Transmission Controls

I recently bought a 83 Topaz and the main helm controls function as they should. However the tower transmission controls are connected to the transmission controls at the tower and not connected to the transmission controls at the main helm. I have not been able to find a diagram showing how to connect the upper helm transmission controls to the lower helm transmission controls. Any ideas?

You'd be better off using a 'parallel' connection approach vs the 'series' approach you are describing. If you already have the cables, they are in good shape, and don't want to replace them, most control connect the cables the same way - just to the opposite end of the lever for the other 'station'...

Are they the morse dual level boxes?
