What diagnostic protocol used on Honda BF50?

Hi!
Can somebody share what diag protocol does Honda BF50 is using to communicate?
Is it some sort of K-line? I don't think it is a CAN-bus or so...

Maybe a open source software and schematic diagram for a DIY diagnostic electronic for it would be nice.

I know its similar to nmea2k because they don't require an interface just a plug and play cable to get engine data to a chart plotter
 
It is NMEA 2000, will work with most modern compatible sounders, the cable needs to be bought from Honda 06653-ZZ3-760HE. I assuming you have a current EFI motor?

Yea, it's an EFI system.

At the moment, we are somehow in a bad situation cos we can't gent the appropriate tool delivered fast enough.
I will try to hack and sniff for data package to see what can I figure out, how can I access the memory of the ECU etc.

Probably there could be a diagnostic procedure how to get the dtc's by shorting out some wires and counting some beeps or flashing some light....
