My boat with Yamaha 25hp was left outside for a year and I took it home to look it over and run it. I couldn't move the gear shift lever so I removed the lower part and found that the shift rod is stuck. I can turn the propeller but not move the shift rod i any direction. I guess I have to take something apart but where do I start?
