Hi guys,

I am new to boats and outboards. Recently got a boat with a Yamaha 55bhp 2 stroke . The serial plate says " YAMAHA 55BE 663 L " and then "325962"
I am trying to get the correct service parts for it, but I am finding contradicting info.

Can you please help with finding the correct parts for it? I am based in ireland, if that helps.

Thank you!

Oddly enough the owner's manual and the service manual for the USA C55ELRQ model specify a ratio of 50/1.

I’m getting mixed info from anywhere 🙈
663 should mean this is a 70’s outboard, but the serial number places it in 1992!

Ppl saying mix ratio is 50:1 but I have a tag on the engine with 100:1.

It’s pre-autolube, 2 cylinder 2 stroke.

663 is the type of motor designator. Has nothing to do with the year of production.

100:1 is not uncommon. Nervous nellies will suggest nothing less than 50:1. With perhaps a dollop or two of more oil. Just to be on the safe side. They then complain about smoke and plugs fouling.
