Yamaha Outboard Motor Problems with Oil Injection System (2-stroke)

I purchased many unnecessary products to fix my oil injection problem on a Yamaha 150 2-stroke engine. Talked to many mechanics, and no one said anything about the trim switch causing the oil pump not to work. If the trim switch is broken, and your trim sensor is showing the engine all the way up, the oil pump will not work. This is general information that I am glad to share with everyone, that cost me an arm in a leg.

Moral of the story: If you are having issues with your oil injection, check the trim switch!

What model motor?

Not all Yamaha's are the same. I suspect that you have an older model motor.

Later Yams do not have the trim system integrated with the Precision Blend System.
