1988 350/5.7 Engine oil filter

I'll be damned, but I can't find an oil filter on this engine. I can't give you the serial number off the engine, it's worn off. Do some engines not have oil filters?

You have an oil filter, port side of engine at the rear .

Unless you have a remote filter option, then it should be up high, I think just forward of the port side exhaust riser.

Unless you have a remote filter sbc has used two oil filter sizes for the last 65 years…

Merc/ quicksilver numbers are first napa equivalent is second number . Any decent auto parts store should be able get you one for a sbc…
