    I believe timing and good clean carb with adjustments dialed in will give you good idle. I have a 75 6hp. With 68 lbs compression that idles and runs strong.

    Altitude attitude

    Same fuel same temp and humidity. 1 year old thermostat.Pumping good water. I will get out on the lake here at the 975' soon and see if I have to adjust back. As long as the motor runs fine so be it.

    Well I finally replaced the impellor. All went well. Streaming good water flow. Came apart and went back together with no issues. The video was a great help. Thanks all.

    As always, Thanks racer for your input. I will look in to damper kit as part of my project. As for the fuel bowl, would I be ok with eliminating it altogether?
