    Oddly enough the owner's manual and the service manual for the USA C55ELRQ model specify a ratio of 50/1.

    What model motor? Not all Yamaha's are the same. I suspect that you have an older model motor. Later Yams do not have the trim system integrated with the Precision Blend System.

    By your description you say that you have a two stroke 115 Yamaha. Do you perhaps have a four stroke F115 model?

    Low oil quantity or over temperature will sound the alarm and put the motor into RPM reduction mode.

    Sounds like the mechanical lift pump is not keeping the VST filled with gasoline. You using the primer bulb is doing what the lift pump is supposed to be doing. Have someone pump the primer bulb continuously while you run the boat and motor at power for a period of time. If the problem goes...

    63P-81950-00-00 is the trim and tilt relay. The LA and previous F90 models used a standalone starter relay. The LB models have the starter relay integrated within the fuse box.

    Check for battery voltage to the pump. Check for ground to the pump. Has got to be one or the other if the pump works when connected directly to a battery.
