    service manual discrepancy

Here is a technical bulletin that indicates a slightly different way of performing the service manual procedure. I see no other Yamaha information whereby the procedure for your specific T50 was changed to be like the procedure for later model F and T50's.

    service manual discrepancy

Split the difference. It is a 2000 model year motor. I would think the SM has the correct procedure for your specific model. Too many confuse carburetors on the 2000 T50 model with later carburetors. Which are different. Having said that, try syncing the carburetors both ways. See what the...

The tubing to the pee hole might be clogged with some debris. Pee hole water really has nothing to do with the water that is cooling the block and heads.

Good spark, good spin, and fresh fuel flushed in and pumping fine. NO fire at all. Model T25 TLRZ 4stroke

There is no low oil sensor that prevents a Yamaha from starting. The carburetor on that model has an automatic fuel enrichment device. Known as Primestart. Suspect the carburetor needs to be cleaned and the Primestart device confirmed to be working properly.

    Tach not working

You can run the motor with the ten pin harness disconnected. I would do that with the tachometer connected to the green wire in the main engine harness to see if it now works or does not.

    Tach not working

No, the loss of a tachometer signal is not common. At all. If YDIS is displaying RPM then the ECM is getting the message. Why you are not seeing that on the green tachometer wire is the mystery. The fact that you are seeing voltage on the green wire is indicative of something. I would go...

    Tach not working

14.5 volts for that model is not excessive. Rectifier is not in the loop with respect to the tachometer signal for that model motor. If you are able to test the green wire from the ECM for voltage why not test it for frequency? The tachometer is looking for a frequency not a voltage.
