I reassembled my 7.5 with stuck driveshaft. Assemble all parts together. Can’t start water pump bolt threads. Remove all housing bolt once everything together. Twist lower unit side to side and use long ext to reach in and tighten h2o pump bolts. There is @1/4 “ gap in parts, allowing this to...
I am dealing with a stuck driveshaft also on 7.5. 1981. I soaked it for a month and it will not come out. I have assembled it all back together with the stuck driveshaft. It is very difficult, but I have found out that it can be done where everyone tells me it cannot be done just throw it away...
Replaced water pump and getting more air out of pee hole than water. Sitting in barrel way above water intake.. hose from motor to cowling not clogged. I want to remove thermostat but I am sure bolts will break off. Ideas beside breaking bolts? Also, I thought the pee hose is before thermostat ?
I just removed gearcase (fairly easily) with rubber mallet and the drive shaft came out of the lower unit. Engine now soaking upside down in hopes to remove shaft. Is there something that hold shaft in lower unit?? Or can I just insert it back in when installing new H2O pump? Thanks
I have same situation. However was able to remove gear housing. The driveshaft came out of housing and is soaking upside down in power head. If I cannot remove the driveshaft, is there something that holds the driveshaft in the Kia housing?
