    Timguy, have you been able to find them with brass or stainless bodies? I would assume steel bodies would rust away rather quickly as thin as they are.

    I have set the coils by the method that Joe Reeves suggested if one doesn't have the OEM style setting ring. I do have good spark to both cyls. My quest for machining a ring is just a symptom of being a toolmaker for 40 plus years. I've been told I'm suffering OCD more than a time or two. Thanks...

    I know there is a tool/ring used to set the gap, and I have read "the Joe Reeves" method, which I could do. However, being a recently retired toolmaker, and with a lathe, mill, etc at my home shop I would like to machine a ring to use. Does anyone have one of those rings? I'd like a measurement...

    The mechanical seal on the pumps that are on my geothermal HVAC system are very similer. That's probably a testament to the design, as they've been trouble free for over 3 decades. I'd guess that s over 100,000 hours run time.
