    As i rotated the throttle slowly, the resistance would change. About midway, my screen would say "ol" which is the same as if there was no connectivity

    Not a single code. You can unplug it and u can use an ohm meter to test it. Mine would lose connectivity in the same spot

    My TPS had a bad spot in it from 4100-4400 rpms causing it to drop rpms because the computer didn't know what position it was in. I replaced the entire throttle body. They are now almost double what they cost when this thread started!

    When the engine is down and won't start, do you have spark? I would guess not, which would leave me to beleive a pinched wire or bad ground. Maybe when the motor gets below a certain spot, it pulls or pushes enough for it to lose connection

    The only thing a blocked tell tale would prevent is the cooling of the VST. Which would not set off an alarm.

    I don't think the tell tale has anything to do with your overheating. The tell tale just shows you your impeller is pumping water. When was last time your impeller was changed? Thermostats? I would try doing the vinegar or saltaway flush using a tub.

    BF150 water leak spraying salt water on valve cover under cowling while running.

    My thermostat housing was warped. They are only plastic. Readily available through babbits or boats.net.

    After you do 1 vst cleaning, you'll find u can do it in about 20 minutes from removal to installation. They are very easy and very simplistic
