FNG, Did some research of the threads for an issue I was having with a '95 Johnson 150. Very helpful posts indicated a bad/failing stator. Pulled it all apart today, black goo as was stated, pulled stator, ordered a new one, inspected and cleaned flywheel. Now the question, one of the magnets has cracked and shattered SLIGHTLY. I cleaned the shards from the rest of the flywheel magnets, polished up the buttons. Cannot see any other cracks. The one magnet that is broken is missing a sliver about 3/16" wide and tapers down for about 5/8" long. Will this be an issue? Do I need another flywheel? Thanks in advance.
