    Bendex drive/oilite bushings/starter issue

    Any advice would be appreciated. I think m next move is to replace the top bushing/sleeve parts that seat into the top of the bendex housing. That whining noise sounds like a worn bushing vibrating in its sleeve/housing. Link to video/photos

    After cleaning the block I noticed it may have been originally red. Also some wonky distributer wires. Otherwise looks pretty good so far. Link to photos.

    Can’t find model # in parts page. 1966 60hp

    When searching my model number (VXL-12R) the closest match is VXL-12. Looking at the distributer assembly, it’s clearly different in the parts diagram vs what I have. Using marineengine.com Any recommendations? Is the “R” a less common variant?

    Trouble with new fuel lines/quick disconnect

    Milky lower unit oil - 1988 Evinrude 6hp

    First time changing this oil and it seemed that there was about as much that came out as the amount that I put back in, but it appears that I have water contamination. Also, I could be mistaken, but I did not see a seal in the drain bolt. At least not the same type of seal as the breather...
